Ella Kate is THREE!

While I'm on Christmas Break, I decided that I needed to do A LOT of blog updating.  So we're going all the way back to Ella Kate's birthday back in October.  I promise to do better in 2016 (fingers crossed)!

We did the traditional first birthday by having a party for EK.  Every year since, we do a small family get together at Mellow Mushroom and then take a trip for her birthday.  It works out perfect because her birthday falls right around my fall break from school.  This year, for Ella Kate's third birthday, we went to Atlanta for the weekend to take her to her first Disney on Ice show.  This show was entitled "Disney on Ice:  100 Years of Magic."  It had scenes from many of the classic movies (Cinderella, Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, etc. and her FAVORITE- "Frozen").  Ella Kate was really into Frozen at the beginning of 2015, then was over it, then back into it and even wanted to dress as "Anna" for Halloween.  The Frozen scenes were definitely her favorite part of Disney on Ice.  She was a little disappointed she didn't see the ice monster from Frozen though.  We really talked up this show to her before her birthday and in her words this is what we had planned for her trip:  "We gonna go see everybody skate- Mickey and Minnie and Donald and Daisy and Goofy."  After the show her description was:  "We saw Anna and Elsa and Olaf, but the monster didn't come out but a other one monster was there and he was big and ugly and him liked that princess."  The "other one monster" is the Beast from Beauty & The Beast.

Hunter's parents and Aunt Sarah & Uncle Brent also came along.  We spent the entire weekend celebrating our little princess and of course doing a little shopping and lots of good eating.  I can't believe my "baby" is THREE!!!!

Below are pictures from our weekend!

Ella Kate requested a "Peppa Pig" cake for her birthday party with family at Mellow Mushroom (Wednesday, October 7, 2015)!  I don't have many pictures from this night because I forgot my memory card for my camera! :(

Sweet smile!

Her face while we sang to her.

Getting ready to blow out her candles!

Eating a balloon off of her Peppa cake.

Presents on the morning of her birthday when she woke up (Saturday, October 10, 2015)!

She requested a doughnut with sprinkles for breakfast.  Of course we had to add candles, too.

Her face while we all sang to her.

A little help from Daddy!

Chapstick or "breadsticks" as she sometimes calls them! :))

Opening her first ever American Girl Bitty Baby and diaper bag!

She is a good little mama to that baby isn't she?  HAHA!

And then her world was made when she opened all the Peppa stuff from her KK & Granddaddy!

Getting ready for the show to start!

This girl loves some popcorn.  I don't know how she didn't get sick from all the popcorn she ate.

Dancing while Mickey sings!!
