It's almost Ella Kate's Birthday...

Today we had our LAST doctor's appointment.  I never thought this time would come.  We also met with the surgery coordinator once more to get everything in line for Ella Kate's birthday on Wednesday.  When we had our ultrasound today, my fluid had doubled from 7.3 to 14.1!  Her heartbeat was 145 bpm.  It's so surreal to think this will be the last time we see our baby on an ultrasound.  The next time we see her, we will be holding her!  They also checked her breathing at this appointment and they did a fetal movement assessment.  Dr. Williams said we have a VERY active baby!  We learned real quick last week that Ella Kate does not like for me to wear those monitors.  She moved the whole 20 minutes I had to wear it.  After we left the doctor, we headed to the hospital to have my pre-op work done.  She drew 7 tubes of blood.  I definitely couldn't watch that happening!  Then a nurse came and gave us our instructions for Wednesday and went over the procedures and what to expect.  I'm getting very nervous but I know it will all be worth it in the end.  After we finally left the hospital, Hunter and I went on one last "date".  It may be a while before we have another one of those!

Throughout this past week, I have thought many times of how blessed we are.  We have so many people who already love Ella Kate so much.  We could not be more thankful for our wonderful family, friends, and co-workers.  And God has surely blessed me with an amazing husband.  He has been to every appointment with me and made sure everything that I needed was taken care of.  It means the world to me to see him be so involved with this whole process.  Ella Kate is lucky to have such a wonderful daddy and I know she will have him wrapped in no time! :)  I also sit here and reflect on what an emotional time we went through during this time last year when we lost a little one at 6 1/2 weeks.  There is no greater heartbreak than that!  We are so thankful that the Lord let us have another chance and let us have such a wonderful, healthy pregnancy this time around.

The next time I post, Ella Kate will be here and we can't wait for her to be in our arms!  Below is my LAST bump shot, nursery pics, and some other pictures I wanted to share.  Her nursery is still not exactly how I want it, but we're waiting for her cornice board and her hutch to arrive- which is supposed to be here tomorrow.  We will pick it up sometime next week and put lots of her goodies and pictures on it when it comes in.  We also ordered her beanie hat and cocoon for her newborn pictures and have those scheduled in two weeks.  :)

Last BUMP shot!  38 weeks, 5 days!

And a close-up.  Notice my pointy belly button. Eww!

Lots of hair!

Ella Kate was waving at us on the ultrasound today!

Her carseat is installed and ready to go.

And our bags are packed for the hospital!

 Ella Kate's crib

Lots of little stuffed animals and blankies!  Yes, Mom I will take all of them out when she is sleeping! :)

Her wall monogram that her sweet daddy put up!

Her dresser (waiting on the hutch).   I'll post more pics when it arrives.

Nursery chair and table!  My favorite part of her nursery!

 Monogrammed hamper!

Closet full of goodies.  Most of her clothes are folded in her dresser.

Cute little outfit, bows, and note from my precious Mariah (one of my students).  They dropped it off yesterday! :)

And last is an outfit from Hunter!  Such a sweet daddy!
