Ella Kate's First Christmas

Christmas has come and gone but the memories of our first Christmas as a family of three will always be special to us.  We enjoyed every minute of Christmas with our families and our precious baby.  I enjoyed dressing Ella Kate up for all of the Christmas celebrations and capturing these special  memories in pictures.  Hunter and I loved buying gifts for Ella Kate and being "Santa."  Ella Kate received many, many sweet gifts from our families this Christmas and our house looks like a tornado as I write this!  Some items she received were luggage, DVD players for the car, a tummy time mat, an entertain and grow activity center, clothes, shoes, some Baby Einstein DVDs, and other baby goodies that will come in handy as she grows.

I am so ready to be able to teach Ella Kate the meaning of Christmas and to have her understand why we celebrate Jesus' birthday.  Even though she had no clue what was going on, it was so much fun to have her with us this Christmas.  I don't have much to write except to say THANKS to everyone for all of the gifts and love you have shown to our family this year.  We can't wait for the adventures of 2013 and some more of Ella Kate's firsts.  Below are some favorite Christmas photos!

I thought this was a neat, thoughtful gift.  Each of the kids picked out a toy and their favorite childhood book to give to Ella Kate.  This is a picture of them with each of their favorite books they bought for Ella Kate.

Christmas at my mom's house on Christmas night!

This was the sweetest gift from my sister Julie to Hunter.  The book is called "Dance Me Daddy" and it has a CD with it by Point of Grace.  She wrote a sweet note to both Hunter and Ella Kate inside.  The book has a wonderful message and the song will make you cry!! She also gave him a cute frame with Hunter and Ella Kate's picture inside.  Thanks Julie!
