I'm a little late blogging about Ella Kate turning 4 months old! But better late than never I guess...

This past month has been so much fun! Ella Kate is really getting a little personality on her and loves to smile and laugh at us. It melts my heart every time she sees us and her face just lights up. I can't get over her sweet dimples either!!!! She is drooling like crazy and everything she grasps goes straight to her mouth! She still loves bath time and just recently started sitting in her Bumbo. She likes to sit in it and watch me in the kitchen. Don't worry she doesn't watch me cook- I leave that to Hunter! HAHA!

Ella Kate is still sleeping through the night and luckily has been very healthy since we brought her into the world. No sickness or anything! We hope she stays that healthy. She has had a small case of diaper rash but it cleared up quickly. Ella Kate had her first "giggle" (Thursday, January 31, 2013) when I was playing with her one night and it brought me to tears- the sound of it was so sweet. We've been tickling her for a while but this was the first night she actually laughed about it. My baby is growing up so fast!! She is sitting up better and better and can really lift her head high when she's on her belly. She did roll over from back to belly once for her Daddy on Tuesday, February 5th. Mommy was getting a bath and missed it. :( We took EK to her first TCHS Basketball game on Friday, February 8th and she loved it. She couldn't take her eyes off of the people and the players. She also got to meet some of my "old" cheerleaders that I coached. :)

At her 4 month check-up on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, she weighed 13 lbs and 11 oz. and was 25 and 1/4 inches long. She's gained 6 whole pounds since she was born. I think all that weight went to her thighs. She has the cutest little fat rolls! And I've already had to invest in a baby carrier so that when I go shopping without Hunter, I can just tote her around with me.

We celebrated her first Valentine's Day on Thursday, February 14, 2013. I love having a little one to enjoy the holidays with. I also love buying her all kinds of holiday goodies. Ella Kate received some cute gifts from her Grandmas & Nana Linda! EK got to eat her first real food on Valentine's Day, too. We plan on making all of her baby food. Thanks KK & Granddaddy for buying her a Baby Bullet for Christmas so that we can do this for her. :) It came in real handy. Her first meal was applesauce and she isn't quite sure about it, yet. She eats a few bites, makes lots of funny faces, and quickly lets us know when she's done.

As I am writing this, we are spending a wonderful weekend in Hilton Head. Hunter and I always go away for a weekend for Valentine's Day to spend time together and we have enjoyed our "us" time but miss our sweet girl like crazy. She is spending the weekend with KK, Granddaddy, Aunt Sarah & Uncle Zach...and being a good girl I hear. :) Can't wait to get home and love on her!!

After we got home from her 4 month check-up! Weighing in at 13 lbs and 11 oz.! The doctor could not get over her cute dimples and thighs. She said she was as healthy as could be!
