14 Weeks

Our chalkboard came in FINALLY!  :)

We had our last appointment on Tuesday, April 17th. We didn't get an ultrasound at this appointment (just the physical exam- FUN!), but we did get to hear the baby's heartbeat which was 151 bpm.  Hunter is hoping this means it's a boy :).  We will find out on Tuesday, May 15th if Baby Davis is a boy or girl.  I thought this was kind of neat because Hunter and I FIRST began dating on May 15, 1997....so 15 years later we get to find out the gender of our sweet little one.  This makes me a little teary eyed.

How far along: 14 weeks, 3 days
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Loss of 5 pounds
Baby Bump: It's there, but I hide it well :)
Maternity Clothes: Nope.  My pants are actually too big.  What's wrong with me!!! :)
Stretch Marks: No.  Hoping this magic lotion I bought will keep them away.
Sleep: Sleeping great.  I've had to move my bedtime up since I became preggo.  No more late nights for me.  I also have to have a nap at least once a week.  And of course, the early morning bathroom breaks have started.
Best Moment this Week: Our doctor's appointment.  I love hearing our baby's heartbeat.
Miss Anything: Going to the bathroom a lot less?  HA!  I would say coca-cola, but I still have some.  I can't help it.
Movement: Not yet
Food Cravings: I've never been a big sweet eater, but that's one thing I've craved so far!  And Doritos!
Anything Making You Queasy or Sick: Garlic, Meat
Gender: I've had a feeling all along it's a girl...we will see.
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Frequent restroom breaks
Belly Button (In or Out): In
Wedding Rings (On or Off): On (they're actually too big now).
Mood: HA! Ask Hunter.  I think I'm pretty happy most of the time.
Looking Forward to: Finding out the gender at our next appointment and waiting on our furniture that we ordered yesterday to come in!

Baby on the Way...

    6 week ultrasound

 8 week ultrasound

10 week ultrasound

10 week ultrasound (Love the profile here)

This blog is something I have been planning to do for a while, but just found the time to sit and actually create it now that I'm FINALLY on Spring Break.  I found this idea on Pinterest and thought it would be a great way for friends and family to keep up with Baby Davis and also a great keepsake for our child one day.  I hope to update weekly with "bump" pictures and other news.  We will see.  Here's our story:

We found out we were expecting on Friday, February 3rd.  We had been planning Baby Davis for a little while and were so excited when we found out we had a little one on the way.  Our first doctor's appointment was on Thursday, February 23rd (6 weeks, 1 day).  The lady that did our ultrasound didn't expect to hear a heartbeat this early, but boy were we all surprised to hear it beating away at 117 bpm.  Our next appointment was on Thursday, March 8th (8 weeks, 1 day & my mom's birthday) and we invited her along to our appointment.  She was able to see the baby on the ultrasound with us and we finally saw the "shape" of the baby and his/her nubs for legs. *Funny story below!  The heartbeat at this appointment was 169 bpm.  Our last appointment was at 10 weeks on Wednesday, March 21st.  Here we continued to get good news.  All of my levels were great and we were able to see Baby Davis once more on ultrasound with some VERY long legs I might add and a heartbeat of 165 bpm.  Dr. Rogers said all looks great with Baby Davis.  :)  This is the day we broke the news on Facebook and we were and still are overwhelmed with all of the love and support from our friends and family.  We can't wait to meet our little one!

*Hunter's sister, Sarah, was in England student teaching for the month of March so we had to keep her updated through texts and phone calls mostly.  When we sent her the 8 week ultrasound picture, she called worried b/c she thought the baby only had one leg.  Bless her heart.
